With the kind sponsorship of Reuters Singapore Pte Ltd and Factiva, a Dow Jones & Reuters company, some of the computer labs in Temasek Business School are equipped with state-of-the-art research tools in the form of 2 Reuters Applications software. Reuters is one of the biggest information and database company internationally. Usage of the above softwares is meant purely for educational purposes.

This website contains write-ups specifically designed to help you in your self learning of one of this tool – Factiva, a powerful research tool with intelligent features. The write-up is sufficient to help you get started with the basics of Factiva. However, the full power of the application can only be experienced by your own exploration. Note that the instruction note for the other Reuters application, Markets 3000, is not included as it is a specialist software for students taking Finance, unlike Factiva which is of value to all students who need to search for newspaper and/or industry journal articles.
